Ementa: A disciplina tem por objetivo discutir situações de contato entre línguas e entre dialetos de uma mesma língua, e refletir sobre as consequências do contato para a variação e a mudança linguísticas.

Programa:
1. Contato entre línguas. Empréstimos, influência de substrato, code-switching.
2. Contato entre dialetos. Difusão, koinização, nivelamento, realocação, focalização.
3. Contato linguístico no Brasil.

Alunos especiais são bem vindos.
