The Institute of Language Studies (IEL) comprises three academic departments: Linguistics, Applied Linguistics and Literary Theory.

In courses offered in undergraduate and graduate programs, IEL stimulates the research in different domains of language and literature.

Undergraduate programs:

• Linguistics (Bachelor’s degree);

• Literary Studies (Bachelor’s degree).

• Portuguese (Teaching degree);

• Phonoaudiology (Bachelor’s degree).

Graduate programs:

• Applied Linguistics (Master and PhD);

• Linguistics (Master and PhD);

• Literary Theory and History (Master and PhD);

• Popularization of Science and Culture (Master).
